Privacy Policy

Plain-language explanation of what this website collects, how partnership inquiries are handled today, and how to reach us with questions or deletion requests.

Scope of this policy

This policy applies to the Dola Academy public marketing and partnership website. It does not govern the separate Dola Academy student portal, which has its own terms and privacy practices for enrolled learners.

Information we collect

We collect only the information you choose to provide, plus limited technical information that is standard for operating a website.

  • Partnership inquiry details you enter, such as organization name, contact name, email, phone, organization type, city, county, population served, program interest, estimated participant count, funding status, desired start date, program goals, and notes.
  • Information you include when emailing us directly.
  • Standard technical data such as browser type, device type, and pages viewed, used to keep the site working and readable across devices.

Preview-stage form handling

The partnership form on this site is not currently connected to an email delivery or database service. When you submit it, your entries are saved only in your own browser's local storage so the page can display a summary, and you are given a pre-filled email option so you can send the request to us yourself. We do not receive your submission unless you send that email or contact us directly.

Because the data stays in your browser, you can remove it at any time by clearing your browser's site data for this domain.

How we use information

Information you send us is used for partnership and program purposes only.

  • Responding to partnership, program, and training inquiries.
  • Scoping program structure, cohort size, delivery format, and timelines.
  • Coordinating with an organization's designated staff during planning.
  • Improving the clarity and accuracy of our public program information.

What we do not do

  • We do not sell personal information.
  • We do not rent or trade contact lists.
  • We do not use partnership inquiries for unrelated advertising.
  • We do not request sensitive personal data such as Social Security numbers through this website.

Sharing

We may share information with service providers that help us operate the website or communicate with partners, and only to the extent needed for that work. We may also disclose information where required by law. Where a program is jointly delivered with a county, nonprofit, funder, or sponsoring organization, we share only what is necessary to plan and administer that program.

Retention

Partnership correspondence is retained for as long as needed to support an active or prospective program relationship, and afterward only as needed for ordinary recordkeeping. You may ask us to delete correspondence you have sent us.

Children

This website is intended for organizational representatives and adult learners. It is not directed to children. Where a program serves youth participants, enrollment and consent are handled through the sponsoring county, school, nonprofit, or guardian — not through this public website.

Your choices

You may contact us to ask what correspondence we hold about you, request corrections, or ask us to delete it. Requests are handled within a reasonable time.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our services or systems change — for example, once an email delivery service is connected to the partnership form. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
